Never do this when using temporary tattoo stickers!

The temporary tattoo sticker was applied to my arm but not properly.

Ever applied a temporary tattoo and ended up with a patchy, blurry or completely failed result?

Don’t worry — it happens. Most temporary tattoo fails come from a few small mistakes that are easy to avoid. Here are five things you should never do when applying or removing temporary tattoo stickers.

1. Applying It Over Lotion or Makeup

Lotion, sunscreen, oil or makeup can stop the design from transferring evenly. Always clean the area first and let it dry completely before applying your tattoo.

2.Poor Scissor Skill

If your sheet contains several designs, carefully cut out the one you want before applying it.

Trim close to the edges so it is easier to place neatly, especially on smaller areas like the wrist, ankle or collarbone.

3.Forgetting to Remove the Clear Film

This is one of the most common temporary tattoo mistakes.

Before placing the design on your skin, remove the clear protective film. If you leave it on, the tattoo will not transfer properly.

4.Not Using Enough Water

Once the tattoo is placed face down on your skin, press it with a damp towel or sponge for 20–30 seconds.

Make sure the backing is evenly damp, then peel it away slowly. For LCHEER semi-permanent tattoos, a light result at first is normal — the design develops over 24–48 hours.

5.Scrubbing Too Hard to Remove It

Do not aggressively scrub your skin with soap and water.

For short-wear temporary tattoos, use a little baby oil, coconut oil or cleansing oil and gently wipe the design away. Semi-permanent tattoos are designed to fade naturally over time.
